Emilio Rommel emigrated from Germany to settle in Argentina in 1922. He started working with a fellow countryman, Mr. Emilio Wibel, in his iron factory in the role of foreman. When Mr. Wibel died and, since he did not have any descendants, Mr. Rommel took charge of the company. During his efforts to expand, he decided to associate with Mr. Gustavo Eisel (a private investor), and Eisig and Rommel was founded in 1936. In these moments and before the arrival of US-American companies, they started manufacturing conduits for air conditioning, transforming the factory into an iron and plumbing workshop.
The first major project was the participation in the installation of the air conditioning system at the “Gran Cine Opera”. They continued expanding their work spectrum by manufacturing aspiration and ventilation systems for local industries.
When both associates died, their sons took over the business until the 60’s, when Mr. Eisig left the Company and Emilio’s second son became the Director. It was then that Rommel Talleres Metalúrgicos S.A.I.C.A was created.
In 1992, the Company was re-founded with the arrival of the third generation, who is in charge today; the Company continue maintaining its family origin.
